Haiku — a form of poetry popularised by Matsuo Bassho and now practiced all over the world — is deeply rooted in Zen and the natural world. This is a rare opportunity to create your own Haiku and share them with others.
The morning will start with a silent walk, followed by an introduction to haiku from Kynan Sutherland Roshi. We will then haver a period of silent writing, and end by sharing our discoveries over morning tea.
Please bring a pen, paper, sturdy boots, water and some morning tea to share.
Family, friends and beginners welcome!
